Our next PFK event, the WPDH Comedy All-Stars, is about a month away! We will have some great comedians at the Dutchess Golf Club that will make you laugh so hard you’ll cry. Before these comedians take the stage, let’s create a list of the funniest ones out there today:
5. Bill Burr- Burr has become one of the most popular comedians within the last few years. Every Monday, Burr has a one-hour podcast on his website where he talks about random life experiences, sports, going on tour and is a frequent guest on many other comedians’ podcasts. Television has made him more successful as well. His show, You People Are All The Same, was featured on Netflix and he even had some small parts in the popular series Breaking Bad.
4. Daniel Tosh- Tosh is best known for his hit show on Comedy Central, Tosh.O. He hosts the show, which mainly features hilarious internet videos that he makes fun of. He stands out because of his unique style that consists of a lot of sarcasm. Tosh made his television debut on The Late Show with David Letterman, which led to him appearing on several other shows such as The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Jimmy Kimmel Live.
3. Louis C.K.- Many people consider Louis C.K. one of the best standup comedians in the world today. At first he failed at standup back in 1984, but years later he built himself up to be an opener for Jerry Seinfeld. By 1996, he had a comedy special on HBO and he has recently appeared on all of the popular late night shows. Throughout the last decade, Louis C.K. has developed and produced many full length specials, which has earned him millions of dollars. All of his success in comedy has culminated with the creation of his own, Emmy winning television series, Louie.

2. Larry the Cable Guy- He’s never actually worked for a cable company in his life, which just adds to his humor. Once he came up with his “cable guy” character, he became famous. He’s known for his southern accent and his common catchphrase “Git-R-Done!” He has a different accent in character than he does in real life, so he always has to remember to “turn it on.” Larry the Cable Guy was part of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour and has released seven comedy albums, three of which have sold over 500,000 copies.
1. Kevin Hart- Hart started off at some local comedy clubs. He won comedy competitions in New England and then appeared in movies such as Scary Movie 3 and Little Fockers, which made him even more popular. At first, Hart tried to copy other comedians that came before him, but then found his own style by talking about his experiences and insecurities. His tour Laugh at my Pain was one of the top-selling comedy tours in 2011. Hart’s comedy film, Let Me Explain, was shot last year at a sold out Madison Square Garden and it generated over $32 million at the box office. The film attempts to tell everyone why he’s changed since his divorce and it also features some of his other sold out shows around the world. Hart’s acting ability has landed him many more roles in movies this year and beyond. He has starred in two movies that have already been released this year, Ride Along and About Last Night
