Marion Grodin- Many of you may know her father, famous actor Charles Grodin, who is best know for his roles in Beethoven, Midnight Run, and Rosemary's Baby. Aside from being an actor, he's also a comedian, appearing in skits on The Tonight Show and Late Night With David Letterman. Before becoming a comedian, Marion Grodin began as a screenwriter. She was a writer for two sitcoms, Princesses and It’s a Living. While writing for both screenplays and television shows, Grodin decided to try out stand-up comedy. Grodin has taken off ever since and is now well-known throughout the country. She can be seen performing in popular New York City clubs such as Stand Up NY and the Gotham Comedy Club. Grodin frequently appears on MSNBC programs and even shows like Late Night with Conan O’Brien and The View. Her name has grown even more after going on tour with successful comedians, Lewis Black, Judy Gold, and Robert Klein. Grodin is known to joke about her divorce, survival of breast cancer, and her addiction to Haagen-Dazs ice cream. She has been through a lot in her lifetime, but she has the ability to make everything funny and entertaining.

Dave Saitzyk- Even though Saitzyk just started his comedy career in 2011, he has received a lot of recognition. In such a short amount of time, he has already been a finalist in WPDH’s Search for The Funniest Person in The Hudson Valley and a winner in Jester’s Comedy Club Competitions. Like Grodin, Saitzyk has performed in elite New York City clubs, as well as other venues in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Before becoming a comedian, he was both an actor and rapper. He’s appeared on stage in four Shakespearean plays, Twelfth Night, Othello, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and MacBeth. His television career isn’t too bad either as he’s been in extremely well-known shows such as Law & Order, The Sopranos, and Smash. Saitzyk is famous for his excellence in impressions and his work on The Cousin Joe Show.
Both Marion Grodin and Dave Saitzyk have the experience and humor to put on a fantastic show for everyone at the WPDH Comedy Show. There’s no doubt that the entire crowd will be hysterical all night at Dutchess Golf Club on April 27th! Check back next week to learn about the other two comedians scheduled to appear.
